Reimagining of Young & Hungry
This short is based on David Holden’s television series “Young & Hungry” which follows young food blogger Gaby Diamond and her mission to become a professional chef when a rich tech entrepreneur hires her to be his personal chef.
The Ask
Students were given the task to reshoot a sequence from a selected sitcom to demonstrate production knowledge.
The Approach
I approached this project by focusing on collaborative leadership and clear production planning. By adapting an existing scene from Young & Hungry, I guided the team through script refinement, casting, and shot planning while maintaining the comedic tone of the original series. My goal was to create an organized production environment that allowed the cast and crew to focus on performance and storytelling while meeting tight academic deadlines.
Anomaly
Anomaly is a student short film that follows ordinary college student Mel and her hunger for a simple delicious sandwich, but when exhaustion sets in things take a turn for the weird.
The Ask
Students were asked to produce a cohesive and engaging shortfilm within a 2 minute time constraint.
The Approach
For Anomaly, I focused on concise visual storytelling within a strict time constraint. I developed the concept, storyboarded the narrative beats, and created detailed shot lists to ensure the story could be communicated clearly in under two minutes. By prioritizing preparation and collaborative direction, I guided the team through filming and editing while maintaining a cohesive creative vision.
AMV-Sucker for Pain Steven Universe
This AMV utilizes specific scenes from the hit show “Steven Universe” and editing techniques to create music video incorportating the stlyings by Imagine Dragons, “Suicide Squad” album.
The Ask
To produce a cohesive and engaging music video using animated clips and editing techniques.
The Approach
When creating this animated music video my goal was to incorporate scenes from the source material that matched the song in theme and rythm. By using my understanding in editing and effects I succesfully delivered to the project needs.
